Engagement Rate Calculator
Engagement rate by followers is the number everyone quotes. Engagement rate by reach is the number that tells you whether the content is any good. This gives you both, and the reach rate that connects them.
Estimates only — edit any field to match your real numbers.
A gap between the two rates is the tell. High engagement by reach but low by followers means a real but shrinking audience — the account is still good, the follower number is stale. The reverse pattern, high by followers and low by reach, is the classic signature of bought engagement.

What's a good engagement rate?+
By followers: above 3% is strong, 1–3% is normal, under 1% is weak for a small account and expected for a very large one. By reach, look for 8% and up — that's the honest measure of whether people care.
How do I spot fake engagement?+
Look for a very low comment-to-like ratio, comments that are all emoji, and a reach rate under 5% on an account that claims high engagement. Bought likes are cheap; bought reach is not.
Is this tool really free? Do I need an account?+
Free, and no account. Everything runs in your browser — we never see your numbers unless you press save to create a shareable link.
