The single most important input is reach rate, not follower count. A 200k account whose stories are seen by 8,000 people is a 8,000-person media buy — and should be priced like one. Ask for a screenshot of story views and average reach before you agree anything; a creator who won't share them is telling you something.

Why doesn't this just use follower count?+
Because followers are the least reliable number in the whole transaction. Reach is what you're buying. Two Kuwait accounts at 150k followers can differ by 10× in how many people actually see a story.
The creator quoted far more than this. Are they overcharging?+
Not necessarily — a genuinely trusted voice in a niche converts better than raw reach suggests, and that premium is real. But you should know what the reach alone is worth before you agree to pay a multiple of it.
