A service where the update is part of the product
Pawland is a Dubai pet care company offering boarding, sitting and walking for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and other household pets, with sitters working across the UAE. An owner who hands over an animal expects to hear back: that the booking is confirmed, what to bring at drop-off, that the pet has settled. For a business like this, those messages are part of what the customer pays for, not an extra.
Pawland had been running WhatsApp through a different provider, and the problems stacked up. The tool was missing features the team needed to build its own workflows, the vendor's support was slow to help when that became a blocker, and messages were not reliably delivered.
In pet care, an undelivered message has a face. A confirmation that never arrives is an owner wondering whether the booking exists. A check-in update that never lands is a nervous evening, and possibly the last booking that customer makes.
