How much do influencers charge in Kuwait for coffee shops?

In Kuwait, expect 15–40 KD for a story from a micro food account, 60–150 KD from a mid-tier reviewer, and 250–700 KD from the big names. Reels run roughly double. A full visit-and-post package lands between 50 KD and 3,000 KD depending on tier. These are negotiating ranges, not fixed prices.

These are the bands to negotiate from, not a price list

Micro food accounts — 5,000 to 30,000 followers, usually a Kuwaiti girl or guy who posts cafés all week — charge 15 to 40 KD for a Snapchat or Instagram story, 40 to 100 KD for a Reel or TikTok, and 50 to 150 KD for a visit-and-post package covering both. A good number of them will still come for a free 8 KD breakfast and a genuine welcome. That is the tier where a new coffee shop in Salmiya or Hawally should be spending almost everything for the first six months.

Mid-tier reviewers sit at 30,000 to 150,000 followers and treat this as income. Expect 60 to 150 KD for a story sequence, 150 to 400 KD for a Reel, and 200 to 500 KD for a visit-and-post package with a few stories, one Reel and a Google review. This tier moves the most actual feet through the door because their audience still trusts them and still lives in Kuwait. Ask what a story means to them: some count one snap, some count a five-snap walkthrough, and the price should not be the same.

The big Kuwait names — 300,000 followers and up, mostly Snapchat-first — quote 250 to 700 KD for a story, 500 to 1,500 KD for a Reel, and 800 to 3,000 KD for a full visit with their crew. The very top of the market goes past that during Hala February and the first week of Ramadan, and drops hard in July and August when half of Kuwait is travelling. Do not sign a top-tier deal for a single branch that seats forty people. That money buys reach you physically cannot serve.

Write down what you are actually buying before you pay

At every tier the price should buy named deliverables, not goodwill. Put in writing: how many stories, whether the location tag and your handle are in the first frame, whether the post stays up as a highlight for at least thirty days, whether you can reuse the footage in your own paid ads, and the exact posting date and hour. Evening slots between 8pm and midnight, Sunday to Wednesday, outperform the Fri–Sat weekend for cafés because that is when people decide where to sit. A cheap post at 2pm on a Friday is a wasted post.

Send the traffic somewhere you own. An influencer sends a spike of a few thousand people in ninety minutes and most cafés catch none of it — no menu link, no bean subscription, no way to order the roast they just watched being poured. A simple own store with KNET checkout turns that spike into orders you keep the full margin on, instead of paying Talabat or Deliveroo a cut on customers you paid an influencer to create. Put that link in the bio and in the story swipe-up before the campaign runs, not after.

Pay in two parts on anything above 200 KD: half on booking, half after the content is live and you have seen the screenshots of story views and swipe-ups. Ask for those numbers within 48 hours while they are still visible in the app. Any influencer working seriously will send them without arguing. If someone refuses to show view counts, that is the entire answer about their audience. Also agree a make-good in advance: if the post goes up on the wrong day or the branch name is misspelled, they repost free.

Where coffee shops burn the budget

The most common waste is paying for reach instead of paying for a decision. A 600 KD story from a huge account gets you 80,000 views and eleven people who actually drive to Jahra. A 120 KD reviewer whose whole feed is Kuwait cafés gets you 9,000 views and forty people who come this weekend. Judge by how specific the audience is, not by follower count. Ask any influencer for the last three cafés they posted and message those owners directly on WhatsApp — Kuwait is small enough that this takes an afternoon and saves you thousands.

The second waste is the one-off. One post from a big name gives you a busy Thursday and nothing on the following Tuesday. Six posts from six mid and micro accounts spread across two months build the sense that the place is always full, which is the thing that actually changes behaviour. If your total influencer budget is 600 KD, spend it as six 100 KD placements, not one 600 KD placement. The exception is a genuine opening week, where one loud voice on day one is worth the concentration.

The third waste is having nothing to show. Influencers are amplifiers, not fixers. If the coffee is average, the seating is uncomfortable, or the queue at 9am is fifteen minutes on one machine, a paid post just introduces more people to the problem faster. Fix the drink, the speed and the photo-worthy corner first, then buy the audience. And never pay for a post in the first two weeks after opening — the staff are still slow, and you only get one first impression from each person who walks in.

Frequently asked questions

How much for a story in Kuwait?+

15–40 KD from a micro food account, 60–150 KD from a mid-tier reviewer, and 250–700 KD from the big names. Confirm whether that price covers one snap or a full three-to-five snap sequence — the gap between those two is often 100 KD or more. Add roughly 30 percent during Hala February and Ramadan.

What does a Snapchat influencer cost in Kuwait?+

Snapchat still holds the biggest Kuwaiti audiences, and the same person prices it 20 to 40 percent higher than Instagram. A top Snapchat name will quote 400 to 1,200 KD for a café visit with a story sequence, and mid-tier Snapchat sits at 100 to 300 KD. Always ask for the screenshot of story view counts within 48 hours.

Have influencer prices in Kuwait gone up for 2026?+

Yes, at the top. The big names have moved up roughly 20 to 30 percent over the last two years, while micro accounts have barely moved and many still work for a 10 KD meal plus about 20 KD. Re-quote every campaign — a rate someone gave you six months ago is not their rate today.
