WhatsApp Business API/Salons & spas
for salons, spas & barbers
Fewer empty chairs. More regulars.
For a Kuwait salon, the WhatsApp Business API turns the one busy salon phone into a shared inbox: clients who find you on Instagram book inside the chat, reminders go out on their own, and regulars hear from you when they're due back. We set it up on Gallabox for free, next to the booking system you already use.

Where the chats get lost today
Most Kuwait salons take bookings on the salon mobile, and most of those chats start on Instagram: someone sees a colour or a nail set, taps through to WhatsApp and asks how much, and whether there's a slot on Thursday. The stylist is mid-blow-dry, reception is on the landline, and the reply goes out an hour later, after she has booked somewhere else. Before Eid and in wedding season the phone never stops, and no-shows leave chairs empty that a waiting client would have taken.
When the free app is enough
If one person answers every chat comfortably and your booking app already sends reminders, stay on the free WhatsApp Business app: add your price list to the catalogue, set an away message with your hours, save quick replies for prices and location, and label chats booked, waiting and bridal. Move to the API when the whole team is sharing one phone, or when Eid week leaves chats unanswered.
Frequently asked questions
- Can we keep Fresha or Booksy and add the WhatsApp API?
- Yes. Your booking system stays the calendar, and WhatsApp becomes where clients ask, book and get reminded. Where the system offers an API or an export, bookings can be passed across; otherwise reception enters chat bookings the way they enter phone bookings. Check which reminders your booking system already sends, so clients don't get two for the same appointment.
- Can a salon send offers to all its clients on WhatsApp?
- Only to clients who agreed to receive them. Marketing templates must carry an opt-out and cost more than reminders. Clients who block or report the number pull its quality rating down, and Meta can pause templates or restrict the number. Ask for consent at booking, with a tick on the form or a yes in the chat, and keep that list separate from everyone else.
- Can an AI agent answer our salon's chats?
- For prices, opening hours, location and booking, yes: Meta allows AI that serves your own clients. It should hand over to a person for colour corrections, allergies, skin reactions and patch-test questions, and for anyone who asks to speak to someone. Write its answers from your real price list, in the Arabic your clients actually use.
- What does the WhatsApp API cost a salon?
- A Gallabox plan, from $112 a month billed yearly on Basic, plus Meta's charge for each template message delivered, such as reminders and Eid broadcasts. From 1 October 2026 Meta also charges for replies inside a chat. Setup through us is free, and the pricing page has the current rates for Kuwait.
