AI reads text, so stop hiding your prices inside images
Most Kuwaiti stores put the price, the sizes and the delivery time inside the product photo or a Reel. A human reads it fine. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers read none of it. If a shopper asks an AI where to buy a specific abaya or a car seat in Kuwait, those systems can only recommend stores whose pages say, in plain text, what the product is, what it costs in KD, which sizes exist, and how fast it reaches Salmiya or Jahra. Anything locked inside a JPEG simply does not exist to them.
So the first job is boring: write real text on every product page. One short paragraph describing the item in the words customers actually use, in both Arabic and English, because half of Kuwait searches in each. Say the price in KD. Say delivery is one to three days, and which areas cost extra. Say you take KNET, and whether Tabby is available. Say the return window. That paragraph does more for AI visibility than any tool you can buy, and it lifts your normal Google rankings at the same time.
The platform underneath matters more here than people expect. A store built on Shopify publishes product name, price, stock status and reviews as machine-readable markup by default, so crawlers get clean data without you touching code. A seller who lives only on Instagram has nothing to crawl at all — no page, no price, no text — which is why AI tools almost never name them. If your whole catalogue sits in a DM inbox, no amount of optimisation fixes that. You need pages that exist.

Say the same thing about your business in every place it appears
AI systems trust repetition. When your store name, phone number, WhatsApp number and delivery areas match across your website, your Google Business Profile, your Instagram bio and any Kuwait directory that lists you, the model sees one consistent business. When your site says Kuwait City, Maps says Hawally, and an old number is still sitting on a listing from 2021, it sees noise and stays quiet about you. Fixing this costs nothing but an afternoon. Go through every place your store appears and make the details identical, character for character.
Two details are worth getting exactly right, because AI answers repeat them constantly: what you sell and where you deliver. Write "we deliver across Kuwait, same day to Kuwait City, Hawally and Salmiya, next day to Jahra and Ahmadi" rather than "fast delivery nationwide". Write the category plainly — kids' shoes, home fragrance, car accessories — instead of a brand slogan. These systems are literal. They pass along your specific sentence, and a specific sentence is what wins the recommendation when a shopper asks for something narrow.
Reviews and other people's pages do the rest, and this is still early
After your own pages, the biggest input is what other sites say about you. Google reviews written as sentences — "arrived next day in Salmiya, packaging was good" — get quoted back by AI tools far more than a bare five stars. A mention in a Kuwait roundup, a local blog, a supplier's stockist page, a press item: each one is a source the model can point at. Ask happy customers for a review in their own words right after delivery, on WhatsApp, with a direct link. Twenty real reviews beat two hundred one-word ones.
Be honest about what this is not. There is no dashboard, no ranking report, no way to buy your way in. You cannot see why ChatGPT named a competitor and not you, and the answer changes between tools and between weeks. Anyone in Kuwait selling you an AI visibility package for 300 KD a month is selling you SEO with a new label. The mechanics are genuinely early and partly outside your control, and it is fine to say that out loud instead of pretending otherwise.
So size the effort accordingly. One day of work — real text on your top 30 products, matched details everywhere, a review request added to your delivery message — covers most of the available upside. Then check it yourself once a quarter: open ChatGPT and Perplexity, ask where to buy your category in Kuwait, and see who gets named. That check takes ten minutes and tells you more than any report. Keep the real budget on the channels that already sell — Instagram, Snapchat, Google — and let this ride along.
